System analyst: -
1. A person who is responsible for the development of software and hardware solution to the efficient working of the organization called as System analyst.
2. IT professional is a system analyst who works on a high level in any organization. They ensure that systems, infrastructure and computer systems are functioning as effectively and efficiently as possible.
3. System analyst study the environment and problems, the current system, procedures and business process of an organization to determine whether a new information method can provide solution to the problem and create action plans based on the requirement sets.
4. The responsibilities of researching problems, finding solutions, coordinating with stakeholders in order to meet specific requirements and courses of actions recommendation these are the some responsibilities carried by the System analyst.
5. As a system analyst you must be familiar with below thing i.e.
i. Different operating system like windows, Mac os, Unix, Linux, Abantu etc
ii. Hardware configurations
iii. Programming language like C, JAVA, Python, C#, .net etc
iv. Different software and hardware platforms.
6. To figure out how o solve a problem by linking different computers or systems and to specify the platform, protocols, software, hardware and communication medium cab be used to solve that problems are the main responsibility ofsystem analyst in the IT industry.

Role of a system analyst: -

1. Defining IT requirements of organizations: -
a. The most important task of asystem analyst is to understand the organization’s requirement and its information regarding to the requirement.
b. What information any organizations are currently are using has to find out by theanalyst.
2. Gathering data and facts: -
a. System analyst act as a researchers it means that they gather various data and facts from the active users of the system.
b. System analyst talk with users from time to time due to this they can obtain necessary information related to the system from this they can now is there is ant last time requirement.
c. This process is important because analyst has to organize data into document information and they studied documents such as input forms and output records its make easy to understand how data are passed and used in the present system.
3. Analyzing the problem: -
a. After gathering facts and data,system analyst analyze on the facts such as problems, causes of problems and effects of problems on business operation.
b. System analyst analyzes and identifies the requirements which can be fulfilled through technological means.
c. They focus on the important data by removing unnecessary ones, and modify the system to make it more user-friendly.
4. Problem Solving: -
a. System analyst helps IT users to solve problems by using different problem solving approaches the good one source of solution is taken from others suggestions.
b. Using this approach analyst can develop and evaluate a set of possible alternative solutions and from them they can choose the best to implement.
5. Setting priority amongest requirements: -
a. In any organization there are many types of users and each user have their own demand and different types of information needs.
b. Due to limited availability of resources, it may be not possible to satisfy the requirements of everyone so it is necessary to give priority.
6. Drawing specification: -
a. System analysts are responsible for drawing exact and clear specifications for managers and programmers to understand easily.
b. It may includes text file, documents and PDF’s file, flow chart, graphs like Bar graph, Histogram, Polygon chart etc for visual understanding of computer programmers.
7. Designing and Evaluating system: -
a. When the analysts are done the preparation of the specification of systems, along with the development team they design and implement the system, hence they management can achieved the goal.
b. The knowledge of advance programming tools, system analyst act as architecture and can design or develop new systems.
Need of a system analyst: -
1. System analyst seeks to understand needs of human to analyze data flow and data input systematically, process and transform data, in the context of a particular business.
2. System analyst is used to design, analyze, and used to implement improvements in the support of users.
3. The functioning of businesses that can be accomplished through the use of computerized information system is done by system analyst.
4. Installing a system without proper planning leads to great user dissatisfaction and frequently causes the system to fall into non-useable hence we need a system analyst to solve such type of issues.
5. System analyst lends (loan) structure to the system analysis and design information systems, a costly effort that might be done otherwise the implementation have been done in a disorganized way.
6. System analysts are involves working with current and last users of an organization or information systems, so that they can support them in working with technologies.
Qualification of a system analyst: -
1. The direct route to be a system analyst is to earn a bachelor’s degree in computer science and information.
2. Some system analyst hold bachelor’s degree in another subject and add computer experience through specialized classes or hands experience.
3. System analysts sometimes refer ascomputer system analyst who investigate a combative computer system and business procedure or determine how company can operate more efficiency.
4. System analyst may work in a range of industries but generally holed full time position for some overtime is common.
5. Analyst usually enters the profession as a junior programmer, progressing to develop or consultancy role.
6. To become a system analystfollowing degree or subject are relevant: -

Responsibilities of a system analyst: -
1. Problem definition: -
Problem definition is the first and perhaps the most difficult task ofsystem analyst. Problems like Business related are quite difficult to define. Problems which are not neat and clear defined those problems cannot be solved.
2. Correct solution of a problems:-
A system analyst doesn’t know how to solve a specific problem, analyst once consult with managers, users and other data processing professionals in developing solutions.
3. Process of developing solutions:-
Systems analyst co-ordinates the way of process to developing solutions. Problems have a number of solutions; the system analyst must evaluate such proposed solution before recommending any one of them to the manager.
4. Planners: -
Planner is a key part of the system analyst job. Planner means that to develop a plan to meet the management objectives. Planners are often referred to as system analysts.
5. Designing: -
A system analyst is responsible for designing after the plan has been accepted and the management’s goal could be achieved. Designing of a system is a complex, time-consuming and requires precise task.
6. Testing procedure: -
When analyst develops a system it must be tested thoroughly. It is the responsibility of system analyst to co-ordinates the testing procedure and helps in deciding whether or not new system is meeting standards established in the planning phase.
